| The documentary film Great Expectations takes us into schools where visionaries are creating successful models for educational systems that raise achievement for students of all income levels. These leaders understand the importance of high-quality early childhood education programs, having highly-effective teachers in every classroom at all grade levels, and implementing policies and taking innovative approaches to revamp the curriculum and culture of the lowest performing schools. Great Expectations shows us that closing the gap and turning around failing public schools is critical not only for the lives of individual students and their families, but for the future of this country.
