Reform proposals often only begin after teacher candidates graduate from prep programs. For a second year, the National Council on Teacher Quality (NCTQ) releases an assessment of these prep programs, continuing to sound the alarm that it’s time for us to take improvement of teacher preparation seriously.
Noteworthy: It empowers districts to clearly communicate their expectations to teacher preparation institutions, and all stakeholders to demand that we raise the bar for these candidates. Read it here.
